Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Star Wars 8)’ explained Darth Vader’s prophecy Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker Water Reflection Star Wars Shirt. Did Anakin Skywalker really bring balance to the Force? Fans have been asking this question ever since the prophecy of the Chosen One was known in ‘Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’ (1999). Now, Star Wars Episode VIII has finally given viewers an answer almost two decades later. If ‘Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force’ was J.J. Abrams’ love letter to George Lucas’ original trilogy, Rian Johnson has chosen a very different path. Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is immersed in depth with themes and ideas that were first developed in the pre-school trilogy. Concepts such as the balance of the Force are recovered and the idea is returned that, in some way, Darth Vader restored everything. But let’s go to the origin of all this before explaining how Episode VIII answers the above question.

What were George Lucas’ original plans with Darth Vader’s background story in Star Wars? George Lucas has always liked to assert that he had the entire galactic saga planned from the beginning, including the script twist that Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker’s father. He said it explicitly in the introduction to the 25th anniversary edition of the novel ‘A New Hope’. “When I wrote the original Star Wars script I knew Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker’s father, but the viewers did not. I always felt that this revelation, when it happened and if I had the opportunity to make it, would be shocking. But I never expected the level of emotional heyday that fans developed for Luke Skywalker,” the filmmaker explained at the time.
However, the reality is that there is very little evidence to support this claim. After all, it’s a known fact that George Lucas changed direction several times while working on the original trilogy. Would he really have shot that infamous kiss between Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa if he knew they were brothers? None of the early drafts of ‘A New Hope’ prepare Darth Vader’s script turn. In addition, George Lucas’ 1977 statements suggest a very different direction in that Star Wars trilogy. In the summer of that year, Lucas tried to expand the universe by recording a large number of characters. These are no longer considered canon today, although one of them served as the background for Han Solo in his solo film), but they did lay the groundwork for the later trilogy of pre-schools. Although they did not suggest that Emperor Palpatine was a Sith Lord, they revealed the basic concepts of how he rose to power and corrupted the Ancient Republic. And they also confirmed very different plans for the story of Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars.
First of all, it is crucial to keep in mind that there was always an element of mystery in the past of both Darth Vader and the Emperor. “The Death Star had readings on everyone on board,” George Lucas explained in one of the spaces belonging to the C-3PO character. “Except Darth Vader. Darth Vader is really attached to the Emperor in person and was not really part of the Death Star staff or any of those systems. In fact, the creator of the galactic franchise deliberately stated that there were no images of the Emperor himself. This implies, to a large extent, that Luke already had some kind of twist in mind.

According to these early expansions of the Star Wars Universe (via Screen Rant), George Lucas originally intended that the Emperor had taken control of the Senate many years ago. A little more than half of that political apparatus had resisted the corrupt influence of the Emperor, trying to expel him legally and accusing him of all his crimes. The Jedi Knights were immediately alerted and sided with the Senate against the Emperor. But many of the senators who opposed the new regime died in strange circumstances. And, meanwhile, the Emperor already had his own plan to end the Jedi. “There was a plot underway. When the Jedi tried to restore order, Darth Vader was still one of them. What he would do would be to catch the Jedi off guard and, using his knowledge of the Force, annihilate them without them noticing what was happening,” the filmmaker explained.
The Jedi Order numbered in the hundreds of thousands, but Darth Vader and the Emperor’s dark troops had been secretly preparing for this mission. The Jedi dispersed, and although they tried to regroup, they were pursued by Darth Vader and his elite forces. Curiously, George Lucas never specified that only a few remained alive, as is the case of Obi-Wan Kenobi or Luke Skywalker’s own father. The last comment of the creator confirms that, originally, he did not pretend that Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker were the same person. In fact, he seems to have imagined Anakin as one of the last Jedi killed by Lord Sith Revenge Of The Sith Star Wars Mirrors Darth Vader Shirt. So who was he?
During the D23 Expo, Disney unveiled a new preview of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” one that has generated much controversy among franchise fans over just one detail: Rey is shown as a Lord Sith, next to a double sword of red light. At first, some fans pointed out that this could be part of a deception (it wouldn’t be the first time that Disney guides its fans through another path in its trailers), although the black dress, its expression and the new red light saber that it carries, suggests that Rey definitely went to the dark side of the force.
What does this really mean? Why has Rey presented himself as a Sith? Daisy Ridley, the actress who gives life to the character, spoke after the panel on the D23 about what it was like to “touch” both sides of the force in her third Star Wars movie: “It was great. I also think, strangely enough, that it was the most humane thing I’ve ever done because we all fought. We all have those things in life where one thing pushes me in one way and one thing pushes me to another. What will this new path be and how will I end? It’s a lot of fun to do that role for that.

Despite the determination with which Kylo Ren embraces the Dark Side at the end of ‘The Awakening of Strength’, many find that the comic moments starring this villain have dragged him towards an image of a spoiled child with a tantrum, far from shadowing one of the most remembered evildoers in the history of cinema: Darth Vader. Well, all those are in luck because everything points to Ren, the character that Adam Driver gives life to, will appear much more to his idol in the next installment of the saga.
The source of theories (more than information) is Making Star Wars, a website that has launched details of the outfit Ren will wear in ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’, a film that will apparently be loaded with references to the original trilogy, at least as far as clothing is concerned. According to this page, the model of the main antagonist of the new trilogy resembles Luke Skywalker’s ‘The Return of the Jedi’ with one important difference: Ren will wear a cape very similar to the one Vader proudly wore in episodes IV, V and VI. It is not clear whether the layer is a replica of the famous villain or directly one of the old ones worn by this character, but what we do know is that Ren will not fail to show his admiration for this leader of the Dark Side of the Force.
On the other hand, it also remains for us to discover how much Ren knows about his grandfather, the moment when he discovered this kinship and most importantly: if he is aware that his idol at the end of a long life dedicated to evil was spent alongside the good. It would be logical for Luke to have told him in an attempt to prevent Ren from definitively embracing his evil, but we want Star Wars Darth Vader Kylo Ren Water Reflecltion Shirt to hear about it! Before learning about the changes in Ren’s wardrobe, the description of the clothes Luke will wear revolutionized the fans who were launched to embrace multiple theories born of a more than alarming detail. The big revelation about Skywalker is that he doesn’t have a saber on him and his suit doesn’t have a belt where he can keep it. Luke, on the other hand, holds only one kind of spear, which has inspired an unavoidable question: will Luke Skywalker use his saber in ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’?
With Ren’s army, Skywalker’s skills are more than necessary. But we also don’t know how the Jedi’s strength has evolved, perhaps a saber is not necessary to fight his enemies. In fact Kylo Ren has some skills without the need for a sword. Will we see Luke move away from his traditions as Ren gets closer and closer to the Dark Side customs we saw in the original trilogy?
